Katy Depot 2027 Wedding Venue Giveaway

Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

1. Sponsor

The Katy Depot 2027 Wedding Venue Giveaway (the “Giveaway”) is sponsored by Katy Depot Denison LLC, located at 101 E Main Street, Denison, Texas 75021 (“Sponsor”).

2. Giveaway Period

The Giveaway begins at 12:00 a.m. Central Time on October 1, 2026, and ends at 11:59 p.m. Central Time on December 31, 2026 (the “Giveaway Period”). Entries received outside the Giveaway Period will not be eligible. Sponsor’s records will be the official timekeeping method.

3. Eligibility

The Giveaway is open to legal residents of the United States who are at least 18 years old at the time of entry and who can legally enter into a venue rental agreement. Employees, owners, officers, agents, and immediate family or household members of Sponsor are not eligible. The Giveaway is void where prohibited or restricted by law.

4. How to Enter

During the Giveaway Period, entrants may enter through the official Giveaway post on Facebook, Instagram, or both:

1. Follow the official Katy Depot account on the platform used to enter;
2. Like the original Giveaway post on that platform; and
3. Leave one comment on the original Giveaway post.

Limit one eligible entry per person per platform, for a maximum of two entries per person. Multiple comments on the same platform will not create additional entries. Entries generated by bots, scripts, fake accounts, or other automated methods are void.

Sharing the Giveaway post is appreciated but is not required, does not constitute an entry, and will not improve an entrant’s odds of winning.

Entrants must maintain a public profile or otherwise permit Sponsor to verify completion of the entry requirements until the winner has been confirmed. No purchase or payment is required to enter.

5. Prize

One winner will receive the waiver of the standard venue rental fee for one wedding event held at Katy Depot in Denison, Texas, on an available date during calendar year 2027. The approximate retail value of the waived venue rental fee is $7,000.

The prize includes venue rental only, subject to the inclusions, occupancy limits, hours, policies, and restrictions contained in Sponsor’s standard venue rental agreement. Unless Sponsor confirms otherwise in writing, the prize does not include catering, bar service, alcohol, staffing, security, décor, rentals, entertainment, photography, lodging, insurance, permits, taxes, gratuities, or any other product or service.

Sponsor may later announce donated catering, bar, or other vendor services. No such service is included in the prize unless Sponsor expressly confirms it in writing. Any donated service may be subject to separate availability, limitations, contracts, deposits, minimums, gratuities, or other vendor terms.

6. Required Deposit, Cleaning Fee, and Other Charges

The winner must pay the following amounts as conditions of booking and using the venue:

• A $750 refundable security deposit, handled according to the venue rental agreement. Deductions may be made for damage, excessive cleaning, rule violations, unpaid charges, or other amounts permitted by that agreement. The winner remains responsible for costs exceeding the deposit.
• A $375 nonrefundable cleaning fee.

These amounts are not fees to enter the Giveaway. They become due only if the selected winner accepts the prize and books the venue. Any optional upgrades, added hours, additional spaces, required personnel, or other services requested by or required because of the winner’s event will be charged separately at the rates stated in the venue agreement.

7. Date Selection and Booking

The wedding must take place between January 1 and December 31, 2027, on a date approved by Sponsor and subject to venue availability. Dates already reserved for weddings, private events, public events, holidays, maintenance, or other venue commitments will be treated as blackout dates and will not be available to the winner. Sponsor will provide the verified winner with the available 2027 dates at the time of booking. No particular date, day of the week, or holiday weekend is guaranteed.

The verified winner must select an available date, sign Sponsor’s standard venue rental agreement, and pay the required security deposit and cleaning fee within [14] calendar days after accepting the prize. If the winner does not complete these requirements on time, cannot agree to an available 2027 date, or later cancels the event, the prize may be forfeited. Rescheduling is subject to Sponsor’s written approval, availability, and the venue agreement. The prize has no cash value, is nontransferable, may not be sold or assigned, and may not be combined with another discount or promotion.

8. Winner Selection, Notification, and Verification

One potential winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received during the Giveaway Period. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

The potential winner will be contacted by direct message from the official Katy Depot Facebook or Instagram account used for the Giveaway and will be announced on the official Katy Depot accounts on January 1, 2027, after eligibility is confirmed. Sponsor will never request payment or financial information through social media direct message.

The potential winner must respond within 72 hours of the first notification and may be required to provide proof of age and eligibility and sign an affidavit of eligibility, liability/publicity release, prize acceptance form, and venue rental agreement. If the potential winner cannot be contacted, does not respond on time, is ineligible, declines the prize, or fails to complete the required documents or payments, the prize will be forfeited and Sponsor may select an alternate winner at random.

9. Winner Responsibilities

The winner is responsible for complying with all venue rules, laws, permits, insurance requirements, vendor requirements, and alcohol policies applicable to the event. The winner is also responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes and all costs not expressly included in the prize. Acceptance of the prize does not guarantee that any particular vendor, date, layout, service, or accommodation will be available.

10. Publicity

Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of the prize grants Sponsor permission to announce the winner’s name and city and to use photographs or video voluntarily provided by the winner for reasonable Giveaway-related promotional purposes without additional compensation. Any photography or filming at the wedding itself will require the winner’s separate written consent.

11. General Conditions

Sponsor may disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, submits false information, violates these Official Rules, acts in a disruptive or unsportsmanlike manner, or attempts to obtain an unfair advantage. If fraud, technical failure, platform interruption, natural disaster, government action, or another circumstance beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control affects the integrity or operation of the Giveaway, Sponsor may suspend, modify, or cancel it and, when practical, select a winner from eligible entries received before the affected time.

Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, incomplete, misdirected, inaccessible, or technically corrupted entries; platform outages; account privacy settings; or inaccurate entrant information. Sponsor’s decisions concerning eligibility, administration, and winner selection are final, subject to applicable law.

12. Release and Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, entrants release and hold harmless Sponsor and its owners, employees, agents, affiliates, participating vendors, and representatives from claims, injuries, losses, or damages arising from participation in the Giveaway or the acceptance, use, misuse, cancellation, or forfeiture of the prize, except to the extent liability cannot legally be waived.

13. Facebook and Instagram Disclaimer

This Giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, or Meta. By entering, each entrant releases Facebook, Instagram, and Meta from any responsibility arising from the Giveaway. Entrants provide their information to Sponsor, not to Facebook, Instagram, or Meta.

14. Privacy

Information collected from entrants will be used to administer the Giveaway, verify eligibility, communicate with the winner, and fulfill the prize, consistent with applicable law. Sponsor will not require entrants to provide payment information through social media.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

The Giveaway and these Official Rules are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any legal action arising from the Giveaway must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Grayson County, Texas, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
